5 Thumbs Up :Great stereo at a good price.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. His Sony stereo started falling apart but he still fell in love with Sony. After a couple months of comparing stereos I came across this one. The changing colours didn't impress me in the pictures. The pictures don't do them justice though. It is actually neat looking. The sound quality is amazing. You can adjust the equalizer yourself. There are so many neat settings that don't have the space to tell about them. All in all, this is the best stereo I have seen yet at a price like this.

    5 Thumbs Up :Excellent!

Perfect for my car. My car's stereo gave up & I purchased this one to replace it. It's excellent. Great sound, easy to use, and I LOVE the different colour screens!

4 Thumbs Up :A very mixed bag.

This is a very mixed bag of goods - the sound is superb and customizable with the 7 band equalizer, but typically the equalizer is available only from the unit and not the remote. But then there is no attenuation key on the unit, only on the remote. The display is huge, but how does Sony make use of it? Fully one inch on the left side displays half a circle, which expands and contracts with the music and expands and contracts with the music and expands and contracts with the music...and does nothing else! Nowhere on the display is there any listing of which of the 7 equ is being used, the stereo indication is so small you have to squint to find it, and so on - all of these could have been usefully displayed on the left rather than the half circle which expands and contracts and expands and contracts...

But the sound is superb and when I first turned it on the first station I got was more then 100 miles away. Very sensitive.

Six of one half dozen of another.
