For the price this is a great amp. This was my first real subwoofer amp purchase so I can't really compare it in depth to any other one but compared to my friend's amps that I have heard it pounds hard. It is a great value being that it is a class D and is rated RMS 500 watts @ 2ohms. I have owned other Sony products like a 4ch amp and head units in another car and I have this hooked up to 2 Sony p5 subs and i really don't know why Sony has a bad reputation in the mobile audio/ video area. I have had this amp for a full year with no real problems so for the price I highly recommend it to anyone who wants some real power in their car. It has a good response of up to about 300Hz I believe and it's just an all around solid amp.
